Executive Overview

Behavior-Focused Design

This portfolio reflects my development as an instructional designer in the public sector, with a focus on influencing real behavior inside complex organizations. My core strength is behavior-based design, but my passion is creating learning that shapes decision-making, not just knowledge retention.

The Information & Cyber Security eLearning module illustrates this approach. I translated policy into scenario-based learning that requires applied judgment. Knowledge checks are embedded at decision points, reinforcing behavior in context. This work integrates adult learning theory, plain language, accessibility standards, and responsible AI use.

Systems Thinking & Analysis

My work progresses from systems-level analysis to structured performance diagnosis. The System Analysis project applies General Systems Theory to examine organizations as adaptive, open systems. Although we did not perform the full analysis in class, I’ve used this paper as a guide to strengthen my foundation in feedback, interdependence, and avoiding silos.

Building on that, the Needs Assessment Proposal demonstrates structured data collection and root-cause analysis. Together, these artifacts show my beginner training in analyzing performance gaps before recommending solutions.

Structural Design & Leadership

The ID Process Model Proposal represents a shift from analysis to organizational design. I pitched the instructional design workflow model from this paper to my employer. My advice was taken!

Leadership growth is further reflected in the Team Video Project and 7 Cuts Above Welcome Video. These projects required project oversight, adaptive problem-solving, under constraints, including a no-budget, client-facing environment.

Innovation & Senior-Level Progression

The Emerging Technologies Augmented Reality Demo highlights my focus on practical innovation. I translated complex technology into accessible language for beginners.

Collectively, these artifacts demonstrate competence in performance analysis, instructional systems design, accessibility, responsible technology integration, and behavior-focused strategy. This portfolio reflects steady progression toward senior-level responsibility and measurable organizational impact.
